On 5 October 2026, Moodle 5.0 stopped receiving security fixes and Moodle 5.3 LTS was released, with support until 1 October 2029. If your site runs 5.0, or anything older than 4.5, it no longer gets security patches.

What does UTSL do?
UTSL is a Moodle engineering company. We upgrade self-hosted Moodle sites to the current LTS at a fixed price, maintain them on monthly Care Plans, provide white-label Moodle developers for agencies, build headless Moodle front-ends and develop a human-in-the-loop AI grading plugin suite.
Which Moodle version should we be on?
Moodle 5.3 LTS, released 5 October 2026 and supported until 1 October 2029. Moodle 4.5 LTS remains on security fixes until 4 October 2027. Moodle 5.0 and every release before 4.5 no longer get security fixes.
How much does a Moodle upgrade cost?
A standard single-site upgrade to the current LTS is a fixed $2,400. Complex or rescue upgrades start from $4,800. A $390 Health Check gives a firm price for your site and is credited in full if you go ahead.
Do you only work with Indian clients?
No. We are based in Pune, India, and work remote-first with universities, training providers and agencies in the UK, Australia, the GCC, India and the US.
Are you a Moodle Certified Partner?
No. UTSL is an independent Moodle engineering company and is not a Moodle Certified Partner. We say so plainly rather than imply otherwise.
